1. Cooling Rack Method

Stephanie, our resident culinary expert, swears by this method, especially when using our fancy combi-therm oven in the High Caliber Kitchen. Here’s how it’s done:

  • Line a baking sheet with aluminum foil and place a cooling rack on top.
  • Arrange bacon strips on the rack, leaving space between each strip.
  • Bake at 400°F for 10-20 minutes or until desired crispiness is achieved (depending on bacon thickness).
  • Transfer cooked bacon to a paper towel-lined plate to absorb excess grease.

2. Parchment Paper Method

For a quicker cooking time, try the parchment paper method:

  • Line a baking pan with parchment paper.
  • Place bacon strips on the parchment paper.
  • Bake at 400°F for 10-15 minutes, monitoring closely.

3. Directly on Baking Sheet

If you prefer simplicity, cook bacon directly on a baking sheet:

  • Place bacon strips directly on the baking sheet.
  • Bake at 400°F for 10-20 minutes
  • Check after 10 minutes to prevent burning.

Tip: Cook bacon ends and uneven cuts of bacon, cook at 350° Check after 10 minutes of baking, as each oven is different.  When close to done, monitor closely as it can burn very quickly. You can flip the bacon halfway thru, but not needed!

4. Stove Top

For those who enjoy the stovetop approach:

  • Heat a large skillet over medium/high heat.
  • Lay bacon strips in the skillet without overlapping.
  • Cook for 4-5 minutes on each side.
  • Transfer cooked bacon to a paper towel-lined plate.

5. Microwave

Need bacon in a pinch? The microwave method is your friend:

  • Line a microwave-safe dish with paper towels.
  • Arrange bacon slices in a single layer, placing another layer of paper towels on top.
  • Microwave for 3-6 minutes in 30-second bursts, depending on microwave wattage and desired crispiness.
  • Carefully transfer cooked bacon to a fresh layer of paper towels to drain excess fat.

6. Air Fryer

For a healthier twist on bacon cooking:

  • Cook bacon in an air fryer at 350°F for 6-10 minutes, flipping halfway through.
  • Adjust cooking time based on bacon thickness.
